Tualatin-Valley Highway Corridor Refinement Plan

Project Intent:
Through the TV Hwy CRP process, critical decisions will be made to provide the transportation system foundation to support the growth in the South Hillsboro Community Plan and future development strategies for the Aloha-Reedville Study Area. The TV Hwy CRP will be closely coordinated with the Washing ton County Tiger Grant for the Aloha-Reedville Study and Livable Community Plan. Washington County, Hillsboro, Beaverton , Tri-Met, Metro and Agency shall be involved in the development of the Public Involvement and Interagency Coordination Plan and participate throughout the Project’s decision making process.
TV Hwy CRP will be completed first to define the regional functional classifications for all modes, design classification, and typical cross section for TV Hwy, and to identify a package of transportation system solutions to address transportation system deficiencies for all modes in the CRP Project Area.

Aloha-Reedville Study & Livable Community Plan

U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Federal Highway Administration, ODOT, Metro, Trimet, City of Beaverton, City of Hillsboro, THPRD, TVF&R, CWS, TVWD, Washington County Departments: Land Use and Transportation; Housing Services, Office of Economic Opportunity, Sheriffs Office, Library Services, Health and Human Services, Disability/Aging and Veterans Services, Committee for Citizen Involvement, CPOs 6 & 7, Aloha Business Association and a variety of social service providers, and community associations.
Schedule:
Obligation of funds occurred in late February.
This is a three year project so it concludes in March 2014.
Project Intent
The project will look at transportation, land use, housing, economic and social conditions and with extensive community involvement determine strategies for community enhancement. The outcomes intend to spur private and public investments. Outcomes may involve revisions to county code, revised urban service agreements or other regulating refinements.

Project Intent:
Focus Plan will apply TV Hwy CRP to the Focus Plan Project Area in the City of Hillsboro. The Focus Plan will identify a package of transportation system solutions to address any additional local street network improvements in the Focus Plan Project Area needed to address existing and future transportation system deficiencies with the build out of the South Hillsboro Community Plan. The Focus Plan will develop an implementation and financial plan coordinated with the build out of the South Hillsboro Community Plan for the identified package of transportation system solutions.

TriMet Pedestrian Network Analysis

Project Intent:
The purpose of the Pedestrian Network Analysis project is threefold:
- To develop a general and transferable methodology for identifying and prioritizing areas in a community where pedestrian improvements may provide multiple benefits, including better access to transit service;
- To apply this methodology at a region-wide scale and identify areas within TriMet's service district where pedestrian improvements are expected to increase walking and transit use; and
- To conduct on-the-ground walkability assessments, documenting existing conditions and needs, in ten focus areas, with the ultimate goal of working with local partners to secure funding and implement pedestrian centered projects within these areas.

Canyon Road Streetscape Alternative

Project Intent:
Transform Canyon Road between Highway 217 and Hocken Avenue into an effective, accessible boulevard where traffic moves smoothly and efficiently with improvements that include: Wider sidewalks with street trees, cafe seating, and street lighting, on-street parking (where possible), new roads connecting north and south to improve access for pedestrians, cyclists and local automobile traffic, and improved pedestrian and bicycle crossings at key intersections.
